About Work Camps
FCC welcome people from different nationalities throughout the year
especially during the summer holidays (June,July and August), to Voluntary Workshop which
are distributed in different regions in the four urban and rural parts of
Morocco.
What is a Workcamp ?
What do we expect from you as a workcamp participant?
Like to work in group and like manual work .
Age at least 18.
Pay the registration fees.
Know at least the following languages : English,French,Spanish.
Accommodation, food:
The accommodation varies from one Work-Camp to another: A public boarding school, tents, houses ... Volunteers will sleep in group ... Vegetarian food is possible.
What to bring:
· A sleeping bag and a mattress
· Working clothes, gloves and shoes, gumboots, walking shoes, swim suit and rain clothes
· Hand cream (if needed), hat, flash light, something sweet to eat from your country (cookies, candies)
· Pictures, music, objects from your country
· Eventually music instrument if you play one and ideas of things to do at night (games…)

We advise you to look through the insurance guidelines before you go to the workcamp.
EU citizens should bring their health card, which has replaced the former insurance form E111. If you don’t have this card, you should ask your insurance company to give you a temporary equivalent form .
What is a Workcamp ?
- The workcamp is a group life experience. Volunteers take decision regarding the group together. The quality of the workcamp depends very much on your inputs, ideas and initiative.
- Groups are formed by volunteers from different countries in order to encourage the intercultural dialogue.
- Volunteers shall work approximately 6 hours per day" 20 hours per week". The work is generally of manual order :-environmental Workshops-construction-renovation-painting-gardening etc.. ... – working schedule will be fixed with the association.
- The weekends are usually free to do activities within the group, and you will also have a free afternoon during the week.
- The camps are co-ordinated by one or two local camp leaders. Their role is to facilitate the relations between volunteers, and between the group of volunteers, Please do not expect that the camp leaders will organize everything for the group.
What do we expect from you as a workcamp participant?
- That you show motivation for the work, the discussions and exchanges among the volunteers and with the host organization.
- That you have a positive attitude; that you commit to a group experience and to making decisions and solving problems together (don’t hesitate to make suggestions for group activities, discussions, games etc.)The approach is prioritized organizational management and participatory democracy, for experimentation, success, partnership, accountability.
- That you participate in the workcamp from its very first till the very last day.
- That you participate in daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, setting the table, etc.).
- That you respect the people in the hosting project and the other participants.
